Our solutions let you reliably supply power to container ships and terminals, large passenger ships, yachts, and boats of all sizes.

Receptacle combinations for ports

Our AMAXX® combination units for wall mounted combination units and our CombiTOWER® with AMAXX® save space and are flexibly configurable: ideal for a wide range of uses in ports and for supplying power to reefers and container cranes. Thanks to clever features, our combinations can be quickly and easily installed by a single person. The standard versions of the AMAXX® range products are made of robust plastic; versions made of a special enhanced plastic are also available for extra protection against saltwater and other aggressive substances. These combinations feature IP 44 or IP 67 ingress protection and are therefore highly resistant to penetration by water and dust.

Ships and ferries moored in ports can be supplied with power in various ways, for example with onboard generators or via power lines from shore. We'll be happy to develop robust custom land-based power supply solutions for you in accordance with the DIN VDE 0100- 709, part 7-709 standard for ports. These solutions are designed and built to resist seawater and strong winds. They ensure that your ship or ferry will always have the power it needs, also with long-term mooring.

Plugs and sockets for ports

The MENNEKES line of wall mounted sockets for ports and harbors includes both conventional versions and our proprietary switchable and mechanically lockable models, wall mounted sockets DUO. All of these products' contact screws are easy to access from the front. On request, we can integrate our X-CONTACT® contact sleeve technology in the 63 A and 125 A wall mounted socket versions. This also makes it especially easy for you to insert and withdraw plugs at high currents - while applying up to 50% less force! The sockets are made of premium-quality plastic. You can also optionally obtain these products made of special plastic and equipped with highly heat resistant contact carrier and nickel-plated contacts.

Our AM-TOP® plugs and sockets with 32 A are especially well-suited for powering reefers. Our PowerTOP® Xtra plugs and sockets deliver the power that container cranes and other heavy equipment need. Our AM-TOP® plugs and sockets feature a robust single-piece housing that, together with a sealed thread, ensures safe, secure handling, also in moist or wet conditions; special screwed contact terminations ensure quick and easy installation. AM-TOP® plugs and connectors provide IP 67 ingress protection: ideal for keeping out dust and water.

PowerTOP® Xtra plugs and sockets feature ergonomically optimised design, nubbed grip zones, rubberised nubbed cable glands, an easy-open hinged cover, and locking sliders to ensure that plugs and connectors are easy to grip, lie in the hand perfectly without slipping, even when moist or wet, and have a lifetime of several thousand mating cycles. Made of robust, long-lived materials, the PowerTOP® Xtra plugs and sockets are available with ingress protection class IP 44, 54, or 67. This means that they are optimally protected from dust and water. The PowerTOP® Xtra connectors for 63 A and 125 A feature highly heat resistant contact carrier and are optionally available with nickel-plated contacts. The plugs also have nickel-plated contacts. The five-pole plugs for 16 A and 32 A are also available in a PowerTOP® Xtra R version with the same robust features. This ideally protects them from aggressive substances. All of them boast our strength-saving X-CONTACT® contact sleeve technology. Ingeniously designed connections make them quick and easy to install using a minimum of tools.
